Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Orit service available at orit.app, including its API and browser extension (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Orit is a contact discovery tool. It searches public sources to find contact information associated with a domain, name, or email, and returns the results with source URLs. Orit is a discovery tool; it does not send outreach on your behalf.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Orit.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Keep your password and API keys secret. Notify [email protected] immediately if you suspect compromise.
• One person, one account. Do not share credentials.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to send spam, harass people, or violate anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, etc).
• Use results to build a public directory of private contacts.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to replicate the Service. You may use the API for your own outreach workflows but not to rebuild Orit itself.
• Violate the TOS of any third-party platform you reach out to (LinkedIn, etc).
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, credit deduction, or authentication.
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to facilitate unlawful activity.

Violating these rules may result in suspension, account termination, and (if we incur damages or receive a complaint) legal action.

4. Outreach is on you

Orit provides contact information. How you use that information is entirely your responsibility. You must comply with applicable privacy and anti-spam laws in your jurisdiction and the jurisdictions of the people you contact. Include an opt-out in every cold email. Honor removal requests.

5. Pricing and payments

• Free tier: 50 credits per month, resets monthly. Some features limited.
• Paid credits: one-time purchases (Starter $10, Pro $29, Business $79). Credits never expire while your account is active.
• Pay-per-success: if a search returns zero contacts, we do not charge a credit. If you have previously paid for the same domain, repeat searches do not charge again.
• Payment processor: Stripe. All card data is handled by Stripe; Orit does not see it.
• Refunds: credits are non-refundable except where required by law. If the Service is clearly broken or you are charged in error, email [email protected] within 30 days and we will refund.
• Prices may change with 30 days notice to current customers.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, and branding are the property of Orit. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service subject to these Terms. Contact data returned by the Service is sourced from public pages; Orit claims no ownership over the contacts themselves but does assert rights over the aggregation, presentation, and enrichment.

7. API usage

• Rate limits apply per plan. See API documentation.
• API keys are personal — do not share or embed in public code.
• Abusive traffic (exceeding limits, attempted circumvention) may lead to immediate revocation.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

9. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all contact results will be accurate. Email deliverability, social profile activity, and other third-party signals may change.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orit's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or reputational harm.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Orit harmless against claims arising from your use of the Service, including any outreach you send using information you obtained from Orit.

12. Termination

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or present legal risk to us. Upon termination, we delete or anonymize your personal data per our Privacy Policy. Paid credits are forfeited when you voluntarily close an account; they are not refunded.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If the changes are significant, we email active users. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

Mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence continue to apply regardless of anything in these Terms. Subject to that, disputes are first resolved by good-faith correspondence via [email protected]. If a dispute cannot be resolved within 60 days, it will be finally settled by binding arbitration under the rules of a recognized international arbitration body (such as SIAC or ICC), in English, with the award enforceable in any competent court.
